There is also a very lovely song from La Plage titled 'Coup de Boule' which makes references to Zidane. Of course, we cannot forget the headbutt. Lik Lik would also like to say that he has no idea what the song says, but it is a very catchy toon! Goodbye soccer fans and see you in two years time at Euro 2008.

Are CHINESE enough to handle Chinese Talk's new and awesome public interaction gameshow style leisure most totally random segment?

Yes! Earn yourself bags of rice by correctly answering questions posted on the podcast! What kind of questions? With the inevitable rise of China, we will be discussing the many aspects of China.

I know everyone is just waiting to be the first one to listen to this rivetting segment, but there are some questions that need to be answered:

How do I register?
In order to answer these questions, you will need to sign up for the Chinese Talk Google Group. Simply enter your email in the little Google Groups box on the right, or click on the link to sign up. It is completely free! Your email will not be distributed! No spam! Just regular blog updates, and you can even choose to have no updates sent to you!

How does this "game" work?
Be the first three people to answer the question in the "Bowls Of Rice" segment and you will receive "bags of rice". The top 5 people with the most bowls of rice will be listed on the blog on the right hand side. The 1st person to answer it will get 10 bags, 2nd person 5 bags, 3rd person 1 bag of rice. It is a simple way to get people involved in Chinese Talk!

b) I have an English and Social diploma to study for, so something will only be recorded on Thursday evening earliest. By then, I do hope Podomatic will be up. Or else, Chinese Talk will have to be moved somewhere else, for like the third time. Which blows!

If you need assistance in adding the new and old podcast feeds for Chinese Talk 1 and 2, I have the solution for you. There are several ways for you to add the podcast and enjoy the new and the old.

If you have iTunes, just open it up, go to Advanced > Subscribe to Podcast, and enter the feed.

You have two feeds that you can enter. For the old Chinese Talk 1, which only has certain clips from the full CD, you can enter the feed http://www.switchpod.com/users/chinesetalk/feed.xml. Please be aware that Switchpod does have advertisements, but you can choose not to download them. No spyware, just annoying mp3 clips! For the new Chinese Talk 2, the link will not be released until June 7, 2006, at 8:00pm.

If you do not have iTunes, you can try out Google Reader. There are convenient links located at the top for you to add the podcast feed.

If you are still stuck, the new Chinese Talk 2 will have an entire blog devoted to it and will have handy links to the clips themselves. The reason why I am not posting mp3 files directly is because it is probably not permitted to...

I am fully aware that I am very behind schedule in making the Chinese Talk 2 Album. I am also aware that this album will not be as great or as awesome because I do not intend it to be. It is free, so get over what possible Chinese jokes I can stick in there. Delays they say? I have had a very sore throat for the past week and I have been very busy with my school work. So delays will be expected. And here is another leak, I intend the album to be all singing and minimum talking. The songs will not be original, it may even be parodies... who knows? So hold on your hats for the meantime. I expect a truly awesome album by the end of January. Hey, if this album does do well, I will be just as happy. And it is free. Take out your highlighters and highlight the word free, please. Please sir?

I am officially announcing the second album coming out just in time for Christmas! Even better, this one will be available online. All of it. Free. The deal cannot get any better unless you give me another dollar for it. The second album, an online one, will not have as many tracks, but will give you around an hour's worth of satisfaction. The theme will all be Christmas/Winter holidays related. Hopefully, this will be just a 'for-kicks' CD. I do not think this will be as good or better than my first album, the Chinese Talk - Shance Dicque one, but it will definitely be pretty good. The tentative release date is December 23rd, 2005. Hope you guys download it!

I have a fan base at my sister's school, and some people in Saskatchewan, but the adult thing seems to freak me out the most. People have asked what Shance Dicque means on their CD? It is a very weird message found on one of my hoodies my aunt bought for me in China. It is nonsense, gibberish, jargon made by Chinese people who believe they know English when in fact they do not. The explanation of Shance Dicque is even scarier. One day I will have a photo up of this awkward hoodie.

Sales of Chinese Talk are slow, but they are coming. Remember, all funds go to the cancer foundation.

Chinese Talk - Shance Dicque is OUT!

There will be "day-long" celebrations happening on the blog. Of course, the Xbox 360 will be something everyone would like to get their hands on, Chinese Talk will be the latest craze over a period of this week.

The price of the CD is $3.00 for those who have not bought the CD yet. All profits will go charity, rather the cancer fundraiser being held at our school. I hope everyone will contribute. Not only that, there will be a special blog post for comments only about the CD. I would appreciate it if everyone could offer their opinions about the CD!

Let the official two day countdown begin. I am in the process of buying CDs, so hopefully we will have the burning done by Sunday night. I will be updating the blog constantly all day, with random posts, progress reports and a whole bunch of random artwork that I spent five minutes on. Hurray!

My very first guest speaker on Chinese Talk, none other than Paul H U A N G himself. An honor and half a disaster. Of course, everytime I listen to it I laugh because there are so many inside jokes. I especially like the slapping, Paul choking and 'IT'S THE POLICE' parts. I guess the introduction to this clip makes up for the lack of Chinese Talk quality in this clip. Have fun listening!

Remember SARS? That thing in Hong Kong and in Toronto? Airborn disease of some sort? In this clip, I finally screw up. You can zip right 'till the end where I start to say something I did not want to say, making me yell at my sister. And since it was improf, I talked something about how lawyers could find a cure for SARS. That is not true if you did not get it. I hope you enjoy.

It will be reviewed by a good friend of mine, and hopefully, with the better reviews, it will release on time. When is that? November 21st, 2005. Math Marks

All Chinese people ever care about are math marks. Ridiculous math marks. Probably 100% in Beijing would be considered a sham in the family. And the worse part is, math is memorized, not understood. My joke about how Chinese people do not know why 8 X 3 = 24 is very true. They just memorize. There is absolutely no grasp of the concept of why 8 X 3 = 24. It just is.

This is where the money maker starts. This clip was heavily influenced by the fact that my mom wanted to return my halloween costume after we were done with it. With a little bit of improf and real life situations, I was able to pump out my very first Chinese Talk classic. This one will be in the record books for a while. Go listen to it, it is free, or if you prefer, it will be on my CD coming out very soon!

This is my very first Chinese Talk clip. It is extremely weird, extremely poor in quality, but this is what started it all. University is what any Chinese parent would like their children to go to. The fact that this very clip made my entire album all worthwhile makes it my number one clip. This my friend, is how poor Chinese products slowly evolve to become masterpieces. This my friend, is worth comparing and listening to.

A Toast!

The Chinese Talk podcast introduction starts off with a soon-to-be favorite tune. I am humming in the background as well as singing. I used Audacity to mix my two voices together. I highly recommend this program for anyone who does not want to pay for audio editing programs.

The introduction clip was correct at the time of its making. That said though, I have released four of my Chinese Talk clips into my podcast. As for making a second album, I am still debating whether or not to retire from CD-making and stick with a once-a-week podcast.

You may get this weird advertisement that is seven minutes long. That contains none of my episodes. I only make you download this because I am using a free service to host my podcasts.
